A pair of curious magenta eyes glanced from one end of the building to the other. The carrier of said magenta eyes grinned that mischievous kitty cat grin she tended to wear as she prowled through the apparently abandoned castle. Well, it was actually a clock tower, for a better way to describe it. The multitude of moving gears caught her attention, which she found rather odd. The way they moved in a continuous circle, around and around, so simple yet following one teeth to another of the gears.
Then again what was considered normal in this dimension? She found out while traveling from one world to another that this dimension had mashed up fragments from other worlds as backgrounds for battles apparently. None of these areas felt familiar to her, but it didn't stop her from wanting to go check everything out~
The little cat girl perked up her kitty cat ears. Her matching feline tail swished and swayed slightly from side to side as she continued to explore everything she could that came into her sight. The concept of getting lost was a foreign term to the feline, because it didn't matter how far she strayed. She was always on the go in search of something new, and unfamiliar. Her attention was quickly drawn onto the spiraling ramp that went up and up and up~ Wonder where did that lead?
Only one way to find out.
Hoping onto the ramp, Seyka began scampering onto the dilapidated ramp, unaware of the rigidity boards underneath her feet. She hummed in amusement as she traveled upwards, not paying any heed to where she was stepping. The second her foot dropped down on a weak plank, a quick snap of the wood beneath her gave way.
"Kya!!" she squeaked, extending out her hand onto the rail nearby, clutching onto it for dear life. Her tail shot straight up, heavily accenting her sudden surprise, with the hairs sticking up like a cat would do when startled. She whimpered softly before attempting to calm down. "Scary..."

It was the opposite for the Sky Lord. As the kitten came up from the bottom, Ryst found himself on the balcony near the top of the ramp. A carefully impassive look was spread across his face as his gentle footing brought him to the railing. A hand found the stone and ran along it as he looked down into the depths of the clock tower, at all the gears and the inner workings. What makes it tick, quite literally. The thought brought the touches of a bemused grin to Ryst’s mouth as he wandered away from the edge. Still trying to figure out what exactly he was doing.
Of course the pirate’s hidden chivalrous nature kicked in as he heard the squeal from down below. He knew he should be a bit more careful, that there were warriors in this world out to defeat him just as he was supposed to defeat them, but the soft femininity behind the squeal caused him to react on instinct rather than thought and he moved to the edge again. This time instead of a hand the stone was met with his feet as he leapt up for a better few, perfectly balanced as he looked down and around.
Seyka was easy enough to find. There was something about life that stood out against the automatons that ran the clock tower. There was no life behind the gears, only movement, kinetic energy. Some may consider them alive because of this movement, but they were cold, unfeeling pieces of metal, while the cat girl working her way up the dilapidated ramp was quite easily alive and feeling. Legs coiled and Ryst leapt from the balcony over to the ramp, taking a few steps across to the other side, then leapt down the middle. He made a zig-zag through the middle as he leapt down each level until he was near her.
”You have to watch your footing around here,” he said with a calm confidence, despite being equally estranged to this place. It was clear the boards didn’t hold much integrity, wood rot eating away at some of their edges. Even the metal railing was questionable, but Ryst was no expert. ”Do you need to get to the top? I can get you there faster,” he said flatly, his voice carefully impassive but human. The offer was a bit abrupt, but Ryst wasn’t one for wasted words and knew they would eventually get to that topic if they were to talk.

A small sigh escaped her lips. Inanimate objects were not as merciful as actual living beings. They served for one purpose in their simple existence; not having to worry about the troubles of mortals battling in a meaningless war between discord and harmony. If they decayed then they'd be replaced. Were warriors of battle the same way? In retrospect, she confirmed for the most part yes. A solemn thought crossed her thoughts. Would anybody miss her if she was replaced?
Her arms were starting to cramp up from just hanging out on the railing. Finally calming down from the rotten wood that collasped underneath her, her magenta eyes focused slightly, as she quickly looked around. Her kitty cat ears perked up at the sound of movement coming from up above. Her eyelashes flittered slightly as her attention was directed towards an incoming presence. A slight tension came and went through her lithe form like a wave passing right through you in the ocean. Seyka let her guard down at the sight of a male approaching her. She flashed an innocent smile to him.
"So I see~" she mused. Tilting her head slightly to the side, she pondered at the mention of his question, offering to take her to the top of the clock tower. She giggled softly at his standoffish demeanor. "Need to? No. Do I want to? For the most part... yes," she replied, "Then again hanging out here isn't quite so bad~"
She was joking. Even in the most unlikely circumstances, she had to be cute whoever or whatever she was dealing with. It was obvious that she wanted to plant her feet back on solid matter. Not that she didn't mind just having air beneath her feet, but right now it was rather uncomfortable. What more could an aimless warrior do except roam around? Seyka had no purpose - or at least she hasn't found one yet - to take an active role in this foreign affairs between two deities.
The cat girl wasn't looking for a fight for the most part, but she wasn't exactly certain what the young man's purpose here was either. Even if she wanted to pick a fight, she wasn't in any position to start anything~ She was hanging off a rail for goodness sake and it left her vulnerable to any incoming attacks. Yet the new comer didn't prove otherwise of possessing any hostile intent. He didn't seem fight prone, but given the circumstances they were placed in, she wasn't entirely sure. You couldn't really take anything for face-value in a realm with intent of throwing hostile beings when you least expect it.

Ryst wasn’t there for a fight, but it was easily understandable that one might go on guard considering the large sword slung across his back. The weapon barely registered in the warrior’s mind, since he was so accustomed to wearing it, but for others it could be a bit disarming, the multi-pointed sword certainly didn’t look friendly nor becoming of a Warrior of Cosmos, but the design was purposeful, designed to be frightening, as the Sky Lord had somewhat of a reputation as a pirate where he came from, even if his intents for the most part were noble.
He considered the cat girl’s circumstances for a second, once more tinting his lips with the barest hint of a grin as if he were taking amusement in it. As one so accustomed to leading, only to have his rank stripped by this new world, being in a position of control brought back a familiar feeling, one that had a warming effect on the pirate. But he knew better than to let that linger, as well, as the cat girl was hanging on for dear life and Ryst still had that chivalrous notion that was not so becoming of a pirate.
He crouched down beside her, tested his footing, then reached out and grabbed her hand. The petite girl was light considering the sort of weapon Ryst wielded, and he hoisted her up with ease. But he didn’t stop there, either, was he had made an offer and intended to hold true to it. Once she was up and safe, he scooped her up in his arms. ”Hold on and don’t squirm,” he warned as two great feathered wings stretched out from his back. This way was a lot quicker than jumping back up there. What her intentions were at the top of the tower he didn’t know, but he had asked and offered and with that, took flight.
The wings flapped hard and lifted them off the ground. It took only careful manoeuvring to get around the plethora of obstacles in their way, a spin here and a bit of backtracking there. The tower wasn’t designed to be flown through, but it was quite spacious nonetheless and in an instant Ryst’s feet touched down and he gently lowered Seyka to the ground. The wings stretched out behind them, a few feathers floating free in the air around them, and Ryst looked down at the girl with the gentlest hint of amusement dancing in his eyes.

Something in the back of her mind told her she could trust him. Now the cat girl wasn't the type to make whimsical judgements on first impressions. After all, he was obviously armed, the kitty girl taking notice of the weapon on his back. A rather peculiar weapon at best as well~ Seyka tended to trust her natural instincts since they haven't proven her wrong before. Sure, she noticed his offer to bring her to the top was a bit abrupt, and impassive, but certainly he didn't have any hidden agendas hidden up his sleeves. Plus, Sey Sey could sense the sliver of harmony passed down within him, which kicked in with her natural instincts that he was someone whom she could trust.
A tiny muse crossed her mind. Perhaps she had a charm of warming up to people, because the slightest tinge of a grin that formed on his was most likely her doing. She didn't understand it entirely, but ignorance was bliss, no? So long as she wasn't being a burden on anybody's shoulder, she didn't find it in her heart to complain over what he thought was amusing. Besides, Sey Sey has always believed that people tended to look better with smiles to begin with~
Her gentle magenta eyes widened with sudden shock as Ryst took her by the hand coercing her to release her deathlock grip on the railing. Her kitty cat ears perked up the second she was hoisted up into his arms, her arms wrapped around his neck firmly but carefully. Her breath hitched within her throat the second she felt a wave of pressure pushing them completely up into the air. She buried her face against the stranger's chest out of an errant fear - not liking the thought of being let go. She knew he wasn't that immature to pull such a stunt, but the thought lingered in the depths of her mind. This is real, right? I'm not just imagining this...right?!
With a gentle plop onto the surface, it didn't take long before she felt the floor against her feet. Blinking a couple of times absentmindedly, she looked back up to Ryst, before releasing her arms from the hold. Backing up a step or two, she stared for a few seconds at his wings. They were pretty~ When she caught herself staring at his wings, she shook her head slightly before flashing her bubbly smile. "Thank you... umm..." she paused in the middle of her broken sentence, realizing she didn't know his name.

The wings folded back into themselves and disappeared, leaving behind just a few grey feathers, dancing in the air as they settled down to the ground. Even those disappeared shortly after their brief flight left them wanting, leaving behind no remains whatsoever that he had even had wings. No evidence outside of the fact that they had just flown straight up through the building—a feat in and of itself considering buildings don’t generate much of an updraft. Ryst looked indifferent toward both the presence and absence of his wings; he was used to them coming and going when he needed them.
He turned his attention to the railing again, taking the couple strides necessary to put himself by it, then leaning against it, looking down into the depths of the clock tower. ”Ryst,” he finished for her, the most she’d get out of him in terms of an introduction. Nor did he inquire to her name; it was coming soon enough, he knew that for a fact, so there was no point in wasting the words to ask. Ryst didn’t like wasted words, wasted breath and effort. Each word meant something, so to throw them around willy-nilly wasted something important.
He shrugged his shoulders, then reached up and gripped the sturdy handle of the multi-pronged sword. Whatever held it on his back gave way with the slightest tug, and he whirled it around. There was nothing hostile in the motion, but rather he leaned it up against the railing. It was somewhat of a burden, and there was no point to carry it around if they weren’t going to venture further. Gentle blue eyes watched as he made sure the weapon was settled in, then turned to look down into the clock tower once more, allowing Seyka to go about her business. He was not one to press.

It was real. This young man standing right before her with gray wings the shade of clouds in the vast sky was very real. Her gentle magenta eyes flickered at the remnants of the feathers - the only remains of what stood out brilliantly, and took her up into the air. Ryst withdrew his wings, and the remains of his feathers followed not long after. The little mithra watched as they disappeared out of thin air, fascinated by how the thought of someone having wings. She couldn't help but wonder then how it'd felt to just drift out like that at your will. On the balls of her feet, she bounced a little with each step she took, peering from the top of the clock tower, with a brand new perspective of the area now. Her light lavender locks bounced along in rhythm with her hops. It was certainly a sight to see~ Sey Sey was easily amused. It didn't take a lot to amuse the adorable kitten.
Perking up her ears to the sound of his voice speaking to her. Finishing her sentence with a simple answer. She smiled that same bubbly smile she wore when she was excited - which was pretty much all of the time. Her tail wagging from side to side in a very comfortable pattern showing her trust in the young man. It didn't take much to earn her trust, but that was because she trusted her instincts for the most part with Ryst. "Seyka," she returned the favor, "A pleasure to meet you." Seyka liked formalities, but she didn't expect him entirely to really answer. If he didn't, he'd leave her open to teasing him as 'mr. person with pretty wings' and that'd get her deeper into more mischief than she already is.
"So tell me, Ryst~ What brings you out here by your lonesome self?" she asked with a tinge of innocent curiosity, "I'm sure you didn't come by here to sharpen your weapon now did you?" Her playful antics knew no boundaries, but she waited patiently for an incoming flat answer. She had a guess that he was the type of person who liked getting things straight to the point, and that was that. Well, with the Sey around, she had other things in mind than to have nothing but serious business conversations with a fellow warrior of Cosmos. The innocent little cat girl wasn't that serious of a person so it was a rather interesting clash of traits, but she wasn't going to leave him alone. Nope~
Since he was in the Sey's presence, he shall have to endure the cuteness that is the mithra girl.
